Video of an amazing encounter with a green turtle...
While swimming in the lagoon at Velassaru in the Maldives, I was visited by a green turtle who came to investigate what I was up to.
Velassaru is perfect for me. A small island yet large enough so you have plenty of space, and a sense of peace and tranquility I've rarely found. All set in the beautiful Maldives. Photos and videos don't really reproduce the experience of actually being there.
It was here I fell in love with scuba diving and snorkelling, and spent as much time in the water as possible.
And what a treat when green turtle came swimming by. She wasn't phased by me recording her at all, and I like to think we were both equally curious about each other.
My first attempt at recording a green turtle and yes, I'd love to have another go.
